One of the neat things to do in Hong Kong is visit a local street market where shops and street stalls are setup, selling vegetables, pork, seafood, dried sundries, candies and other consumables to local residents. The street is around two hundred metres in length and is very photogenic.

Shop and stall-keepers don't mind you taking pictures of the food items. Lots of colourful and interesting foods that are popular locally but perhaps not something you will have seen in your home food and supermarkets.

Seeing live fish, freshly picked fruit and vegetables of all shapes and sizes, is something that was alien to them. If you are from a place that has open food markets then this may not be anything special, however, if you do most of your food shopping in a supermarket, this is an eye-opening experience and well worth a visit.

The indoor market is but one part of the experience. If you like a vibrant authentic market area where the locals haggle and shop, you will love this place. The wet market stalls are as authentic as they come. Most of the fish are alive and the butchering skills of the butchers - most with a lit cigarette going - are worth the visit itself.

TEriffic to watch. Heaps of excellently presented fresh produce, many of which we don't have in our shops. Virtually NO prepackaged goods in the food shops. Contact us sales alamy.
