There are also well-equipped rooms for up to five people. The campsite has toilets and hot showers, electric hookups and outlets for charging cellphones, cold drinking water, a field kitchen with refrigerators, gas burners for cooking, sinks for dishwashing, barbecues, campfire sites and even potjie pots. You can also arrange in advance to bring a private trailer. Facilities include a field kitchen with refrigerators, gas burners for cooking, sinks for washing dishes, barbecue grills, electrical hookups, drinking water and outdoor lighting. A visitors center offers maps, flashlights, wood and charcoal, and even items such as tents and sleeping bags for spontaneous campers.

Sleeping with history at Sde Boker. One route is Ein Avdat National Park, the entrance to which is within walking distance, abutting Midreshet Sde Boker educational center. Ein Avdat is a spring that emerges where Zinn Stream flows out of Ramat Avdat and creates a handsome brook, waterfall and pools. You made the connection that here we have a place which was supposed to be a cemetery, and now the bones have come back to life.

The reference that Nehemia gave from 2 Samuel re. That one, absolutely, was in both reality and intent, temporary. It is much easier to imagine an attacking army, having embarked on anything longer than a day-trip mission, setting up camp in tents and pavilions rather than putting in the time and effort to build wooden structures.

This makes my Charlie Brown Sukkah a tent adorned with branches seem much more legitimate. One such dwelling is a sukkah. Multiple such dwellings are called sukkot. In both 2 Samuel , and 1 Kings 20, in all instances, only the singular form is used.

So, which should we trust, the English or the Hebrew? Please provide references that show the plural Hebrew for the word in these verses. You can look in any Hebrew text and see the plural ending for yourself. Would you mind sharing what you study process is.

I think this would be helpful for others. It seems the study sources being used by me may be either inadequate or my understanding based on these sources may not yet be perfected. They also repeat the traditional idea held by many that the purpose for this feast is to remember the Israelites dwelling in the wilderness. Why do you use the term sukkot as the title for this feast? Is it possible that this is not the title for this feast?
